The Dodgers and White Sox will open the 2013 spring season of Camelback Ranch on Saturday at 12:05 p.m. PT.
However, before jumping to any conclusions about what this means for the regular season, keep in mind a few factors. For one, left fielder Carl Crawford is not playing and won't be for at least a week, and he is slated to bat either first or second when he plays.
Secondly, Ramirez will miss some time with the Dodgers because he's playing for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic, and manager Don Mattingly said he would get his three WBC players (Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez, Luis Cruz) three plate appearances per game instead of two in the early part of spring, and might manipulate the lineup to help get those PA a little quicker.
