Yasiel Puig, Corey Seager among Dodgers in Minor League Ball top 150 prospects

The Dodgers had four players named among the top 150 prospects in baseball by John Sickels of Minor League Ball, plus a special mention of Korean import Hyun-jin Ryu as well.

It is still the spring, and the time of hope for the future, and there is no better hope in baseball than when talking prospects. We have seen several top prospect lists come in, and now SB Nation's own John Sickels has chimed in at Minor League Ball with his top 150 prospects.

Two Dodgers make the top 100, which is the normal length for these lists, with 22-year-old Cuban outfielder Yasiel Puig at No. 26, and soon-to-be 19-year-old shortstop Corey Seager at No. 70.

Puig is rated one spot behind fellow Cuban outfielder Jorge Soler of the Cubs, and Sickels wrote, "You can flip Puig and Soler if you like. I love both of them."

Joc Pederson checks in at No. 114, amid a group of five players of whom Sickels says has a case to be top-100 prospects. Zach Lee, about whom Sickels wrote, "I don't like Zach Lee as much as some people do," checks in at No. 120.

Sickels made a special mention of Hyun-jin Ryu, who purposely wasn't ranked:

Philosophically I think guys like Yu Darvish last year who have long track records in Japan and are older than typical prospects should be seen more like major league free agents than prospects. Korea isn't Japan, however, and I don't have a good enough feel for the level of competition to judge that the same way. Ryu looks like a number three starter to me so far, which is fine. He'll certainly make a faster impact than most of the guys on this list and you should judge his fantasy value accordingly. I'll write up something more about him after we get more spring training data.

The Dodgers also placed a pair of pitchers in the 'in the picture' group just outside of the top 150, in Onekli Garcia and Matt Magill.
