Puig is batting cleanup for the third time this spring on Tuesday afternoon against the A's, who will start the fellow Cuban outfielder Cespedes in the cleanup spot.
Camelback Ranch has cornered the market on Cuban cleanup hitters, as both Yasiel Puig and Yoenis Cespedes are batting fourth for the Dodgers and Athletics, respectively on Tuesday in Glendale.
Puig is coming off his first game off this spring, and so far is hitting a robust .452/.442/.667 (19-for-42) in 20 Cactus League games. This is Puig's third game starting at cleanup this spring, to go along with four starts hitting third, once hitting seventh, three times batting eighth, and once batting ninth.
Cespedes, meanwhile, is hitting just .182/.325/.303 (6-for-33) for Oakland.
Chris Capuano gets the start for the Dodgers, and will be followed on the mound by Brandon League, J.P. Howell, and Mark Lowe. Dan Straily starts for Oakland.
