Dodgers spring training stats: Starting pitchers

In case you missed it, here are the stats from spring training for the five Dodgers starting pitchers headed into the regular season.

Clayton Kershaw threw 54 pitches in three innings on Wednesday in his final tuneup start, in the Dodgers' Cactus League finale against the Mariners in Peoria. Kershaw allowed two runs in the first inning on a home run by Mike Morse, and another tally in the third.

Here are the final spring numbers for the Dodgers' starting five, with the caveat that spring training stats are mostly meaningless:

Clayton Kershaw

Cactus League: Seven starts, 4.18 ERA, 28 innings, 30 hits, two home runs allowed, eight walks, 30 strikeouts

Zack Greinke

Cactus League: Three starts, 7.88 ERA, eight innings, 12 hits, no home runs allowed, four walks, five strikeouts

Minor league: 4 innings, two hits, one HBP, 43 pitches (Mar. 20)

Josh Beckett

Cactus League: Four starts, 5.40 ERA, 13⅓ innings, 10 hits, three home runs allowed, six walks, 12 strikeouts

Simulated games: 4 innings, three hits, three strikeouts (Mar. 7), 6 innings, 76 pitches (Mar. 18)

Chad Billingsley

Cactus League: Two starts, one relief appearance, 7.04 ERA, 7⅔ innings, 12 hits, one home run, three walks, six strikeouts

Simulated game: 5 innings (Mar. 13)

Minor league: 4⅔ innings (Mar. 23), four hits, two runs, four walks, seven strikeouts, 92 pitches, no curve balls

Hyun-jin Ryu

Cactus League: Five starts, one relief appearance, 3.86 ERA, 23⅓ innings, 17 hits, one home run, eight walks, 23 strikeouts.

Ted Lilly also pitched on Wednesday, and didn't pitch well. Manager Don Mattingly has long said Lilly is far behind and needs to catch up to the other starters. The Dodgers want Lilly to start the season on the disabled list, but Lilly said after Wednesday's game, "I'm not really sure." Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times has more.
