Friday, 4:30 p.m. (Prime Ticket, MLB Network)
The series opener features a battle of southpaws, with Hyun-jun Ryu facing Paul Maholm. Ryu has a 4.68 ERA on the road compared to a 2.13 ERA at home, though his strikeouts and walks are nearly the same both at home (26 strikeouts, seven walks) and on the road (25 strikeouts, eight walks). Maholm opened his season with 25⅓ scoreless innings, but since then is 1-4 with 21 runs allowed in 22⅔ innings.
Saturday, 4:10 p.m. (KCAL)
Chris Capuano is coming off his best start of the year, as he pitched into the seventh inning with seven strikeouts against the Marlins. Kris Medlen appears back from his vacation as one of the best pitchers in baseball, and is back to being a relatively normal pitcher this season. The Braves have lost his last five starts, with Medlen posting a 4.70 ERA during that span.
Sunday, 10:35 a.m. (Prime Ticket, TBS)
Matt Magill started for filling in for Stephen Fife, who was filling in for Chad Billingsley. Then Magill filled in for Ted Lilly, but is now is filling in for Josh Beckett. So after starts with six days rest and five days rest, Magill the moveable piece starts Saturday on eight days rest. Mike Minor has 42 strikeouts against just 10 walks this season and has allowed five runs in three home starts this season.
