Zack Greinke returns to Milwaukee

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

Greinke attempts to stay undefeated in his career at Miller Park.

Zack Greinke is still settling into Los Angeles, but his surroundings will be familiar Tuesday at Milwaukee's Miller Park. During Greinke's relatively brief one and a half year stint with the Brewers, he posted a 25-9 record, an ERA of 3.67, a WHIP of 1.201 and 323 strikeouts.

The self-proclaimed Brew Crew haven't seen Greinke lose at Miller Park, compiling a 15-0 record at his former home. The two parties still share fond memories, as Greinke's .735 win percentage ranks best in franchise history.

Thanks to Clayton Kershaw's stellar complete game effort Monday, Greinke will have a rested bullpen at his disposal.

The Dodgers' high profile bats of Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier displayed omens of hope Monday. Kemp and Ethier both blasted solo home runs, therefore posting RBI's in the same game for only the fifth time all season.

Tuesday's start marks the first time Greinke has faced his old Milwaukee mates. Although, he has faced a few current Brewers before. Yuniesky Betancourt is 0-for-10 against Greinke, while third baseman Aramis Ramirez is 0-for-9 with four strikeouts.

On the mound for Ron Roenicke's ball club is Puerto Rican rookie Hiram Burgos.

Despite Burgos' high ERA at 6.58, the former Bethune-Cookman star has already displayed success against the Dodgers, providing a quality start of six innings and three earned runs in a no decision at Chavez Ravine on April 26. Numbers mean everything in baseball, yet Burgos' statistics are heavily skewed by his disastrous May 11 start at Cincinnati, giving up 10 earned runs in three frames.

Regardless of the Dodgers disappointing 18-25 record, the club has 147 million reasons to feel confident about Greinke's start on Tuesday.
