Dodgers vs. Marlins TV schedule, starting pitchers

USA TODAY Sports

A pair of last place teams face off for three games this weekend at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers look to snap their season-worst seven-game losing streak over the weekend with a battle of last place teams at Dodger Stadium. The Marlins come to town on a losing streak of their own, but a relatively modest three-game skid. Here are the television schedules and pitching matchups this weekend at Chavez Ravine.

Friday, 7:10 p.m. (alternate channels)

Matt Magill went from recording 20 outs and having a game score of 63 in his major league debut to recording just four outs and a game score of 20 in start number two. With Stephen Fife and Ted Lilly nowhere close to returning, Magill is needed as the bridge to Zack Greinke and will look to get back on track against Miami on Friday. Jose Fernandez, the 20-year-old who was the 14th pick in the 2011 draft, has a 3.48 ERA and 32 strikeouts and his first 31 major league innings. In his last start, on Saturday, he struck out nine in seven scoreless innings and allowed just one hit and one walk to the Phillies.

The game was originally slated for Prime Ticket, but due to a scheduling conflict with Kings-Blues Game 6 of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs first round, the Dodgers game will be shown on alternate channels, much like in April against the Padres and Diamondbacks. Though the channels for Friday still haven't been confirmed.

Saturday, 6:10 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Hyun-jin Ryu looks to join Don Sutton with an eighth straight start of six innings to start his Los Angeles Dodgers career, while the Marlins send their best starter to the mound. Kevin Slowey has a 1.81 ERA in seven starts, with 36 strikeouts and just eight walks. Yet thanks to poor run support his record is just 1-2. Miami scored eight runs in his first six starts, but he got his first win in his last start as the Marlins backed Slowey with a 14-run outburst.

Sunday, 1:10 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Chris Capuano gets the call in the series finale, looking to continue the progression of lasting two innings (injured calf) and four innings (injured baseballs) in his first two starts. Longtime Padres starter Wade LeBlanc has a 6.11 ERA for Miami, and the team has lost all seven of his starts this season. LeBlanc in his career has a 4.33 ERA against the Dodgers in nine starts and one relief appearance, but the Dodgers have won nine of his 10 appearances.

If the Dodgers can't at least win that finale, they are in trouble.
