Dodgers vs. Padres TV schedule, starting pitching matchups

Norm Hall

The Dodgers are 2-4 against the Padres this season, but 0-3 at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers welcome back the Padres to Dodger Stadium, hoping this visit doesn't go like last time when San Diego outscored Los Angeles 22-7 in a three-game sweep from Apr. 15-17. Here are the pitching matchups and television schedule for the series, which begins with a big question mark for the Dodgers.

Monday, 7:10 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

With Chris Capuano hurting, the Dodgers are reportedly leaning toward Stephen Fife to start the series opener. We'll find out in a few hours, but the most intriguing part is the corresponding move, which has to be someone to the disabled list. Old friend Eric Stults hit a three-run home run at Dodger Stadium on Apr. 15, and since then has averaged 6.45 innings per start, with four quality starts in his last six outings. At the plate he is 2-for-15 since the home run.

Tuesday, 7:10 p.m. (KCAL)

Ted Lilly looks for his first win of the season. He has pitched into the sixth inning in both starts since his latest disabled list stint but has yet to complete the sixth, allowing five runs in 11 innings. Clayton Richard allowed at least five runs in each of his last four starts, 0-4 with 23 runs in 17 innings during that span. His last start was May 27, but he pitched two scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win in a 17-inning game against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Wednesday, 7:10 p.m. (Prime Ticket)

Clayton Kershaw starts the series finale, looking to last seven innings in his eighth straight start. Jason Marquis, who beat the Dodgers on Apr. 16 at Chavez Ravine, is 5-0 with a 3.35 ERA in his last seven starts.
