Dodgers links: Who takes the blame for the Dodgers injuries?

Stephen Dunn

The Dodgers players keep dropping like flies, which makes a comeback effort even tougher.

From injuries to underperforming, the Dodgers season has epitomized the words disappointing and frustrating. Hanley Ramirez finally got back on to the diamond Wednesday, and appeared close to full speed. However, the injury woes aren't over. Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness (MSTI), per Mike Petriello, examined who should be responsible for the Dodgers injuries.

Josh Beckett hasn't been able to pitch since May 13, and continues to experience setbacks in the recovery process. Initially, Beckett was sidelined due to a left groin strain, but doctors are more worried about the numbness in his pitching hand. The timetable for Beckett's return is around four weeks, as the former ace tries to avoid surgery per the LA Times Dylan Hernandez.

The big headlines throughout MLB is the Biogenesis investigation, listing upwards of 20 players who supposedly used steroids, headlined by Ryan Braun and Alex Rodriguez. The Dodgers team president, Stan Kasten, hasn't been contacted by the MLB about Biogenesis, per Dylan Hernandez on Twitter.

Although, none of the players on the list are affiliated with the Dodgers, per ESPN's TJ Quinn and Pedro Gomez.

Thursday marks the beginning of the MLB draft, and among the many stories behind each prospect, Montaous Walton's wild journey may be the most intriguing per SB Nation's Brandon Sneed.
