Bobby Coyle also homered twice as Dodgers affiliates were 3-3 on Thursday night.

Minor League Player of the Day: Ogden Raptors outfielder Joey Curletta, the Dodgers' sixth round pick in 2012, hit his first professional home run. The 19-year-old was 3-for-4 and fell a triple shy of the cycle in an 8-5 win.

Triple-A: Starting pitcher Rob Rasmussen walked a season-high five in his six innings in Albuquerque's 3-2 loss in Nashville (Brewers). Rasmussen had a quality start with three runs allowed in six innings but fell to 0-5 with a 5.59 ERA in nine starts with the Isotopes. Nick Buss was 1-for-2 with a sacrifice fly and drove in both runs for the Isotopes in defeat. Dee Gordon was 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base, his 38th steal in 72 games in Triple-A this season. Peter Moylan pitched a scoreless inning and has nine scoreless innings over his last seven appearances.

Double-A: Three runs in the fourth inning against Chris Reed sent the Lookouts to a 7-4 loss to Jackson (Mariners) on Thursday night. Reed faced four batters in the fourth inning and didn't retire any of them. Reed on the night walked a career-high six in defeat. Joc Pederson went 2-for-4 with a double and a stolen base, his 28th of the season, turning around a 1-for-27 slump with 12 strikeouts and six walks in his previous nine games.

High Class-A: Home runs in consecutive innings by outfielder Bobby Coyle helped the Quakes to a 5-4 win over Inland Empire (Angels). Coyle hit solo home runs in the second and third innings, when Rancho Cucamonga scored all their runs, to make a winner out of Gustavo Gomez, who allowed three runs but struck out nine in six innings. The Quakes got triples from Casio Grider and O`Koyea Dickson in the win.

Low Class-A: Though shortstop Corey Seager went 2-for-4 with a double, the Loons were shutout by Bowling Green (Rays) 2-0. Miguel Sulbaran started and pitched just one inning, but allowed two runs in two hits to take the loss. Jonathan Martinez followed Sulbaran with six scoreless innings and four strikeouts to keep Great Lakes in the game. Seager has nine doubles in 21 games in July, hitting .320/.429/.480 during the month.

Rookie (Ogden): Right fielder Joey Curletta fell a triple short of the cycle as the Raptors won 8-5 on the road over Orem (Angels). Designated hitter Jesus Valdez hit a three-run home run as part of a five-run fifth inning, his fourth home run in five games. Five days after allowing runs for the first time as a professional, 2013 sixth round pick Jacob Rhame pitched a scoreless inning with one strikeout for his fourth save.

Rookie (Arizona): Off day

Coming up: Zach Lee starts for Chattanooga on Friday. Lindsey Caughel is slated to start for Rancho Cucamonga. Brandon Martinez takes the hill for Great Lakes.
