Brian Wilson contract: Dodgers finalize deal, plus reaction to signing

The Dodgers have had 24 different pitchers this season, one shy of the franchise record set in 1998, 2009 and 2012.

The Dodgers on Tuesday finalized their signing of relief pitcher Brian Wilson to a one-year, major league deal. Jim Bowden of ESPN reported the contract at $1 million in base salary with performance bonuses, though it's yet unknown whether Wilson gets a flat $1 million for the remainder of the season or is he'll get a prorated share of $1 million, which with 62 days remaining is roughly $338,798.

The signing of Wilson puts the Dodgers' 40-man roster at 39 players.

Once Wilson joins the Dodgers after a stint in the minors, he will be the 221st player and 76th pitcher to play for both the Giants and Dodgers.
