True Blue LA podcast, episode 27: Chris Jackson on potential September call-ups

Jonathan Daniel

Jacob Burch and Eric Stephen spoke with Chris Jackson, beat writer for the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes, to discuss several players who might join the Dodgers in the next few days.

After a few weeks of busyness and vacation, Jacob Burch and I are back with another episode of the True Blue LA podcast. This week we welcomed Chris Jackson, the fine Triple-A Albuquerque beat writer for the Albuquerque Examiner.

Jackson discussed covering the Isotopes and we talked about several players who may or may not be joining the Dodgers when roster limits expand on Sunday. Jackson also shared insight on the seemingly broken Stephen Fife, who has a 10.29 ERA with 16 walks and just six strikeouts in 14 innings in his last five appearances in Triple-A.

You can read Jackson's work at the Albuquerque Examiner, such as his game recap of Thursday's Isotopes home finale. Jackson is on Twitter at @TopesWriter.

As always, to get any questions answered on a future episode of the podcast, please email us at tblapodcast@gmail.com. The questions don't even have to be baseball related, though baseball questions are preferred.

The podcast is on iTunes. If you have time, please rate and write a review of the show. Any feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks again for listening.
