Minor League Player of the Day – Theo Alexander, OF AZ Rookie - Alexander, who turned 19 a week ago, had a big game, hitting two home runs to help his team reach the championship game.
AAA – The Isotopes lose late in New Orleans, the Zephyrs (Marlins) scored 3 in the bottom of the 8th and the Zephyrs won 3-1. Matt Palmer started and was leading 1-0 going to the bottom of the 8th but after his error led to the Zephyrs' first run, he was replaced by Onelki Garcia but Garcia could not escape without seeing the winning run score. Tony Gwynn, Jr. got two hits but the offense could only muster 5 hits.
AA – The Lookouts lost 4-3 to the Smokies (Cubs). Chris Reed (pictured above) had a rough final game of the season, gave up 7 hits and 3 walks in 4.1 innings, also gave up all 4 runs. Joc Pederson hit another home run.
HiA – Matt Kemp went hitless but it was his replacement, Bobby Coyle who helped the Quakes beat the JetHawks 4-3. The JetHawks got out to an early 3-0 lead but did not score again. Matt Shelton started and struck out 8, walked 1, 6 hits, and 3 runs. Casio Grider had 3 hits, Bobby Coyle came in for Kemp and had 2 hits.
LoA – The Loons traveled to play the TinCaps (Padres)and won 4-3. Jonathan Martinez had a solid start, 6 IP, 6 hits, a walk, 2 runs (1 earned) and struck out 6. Leo Rodriguez and Tyler Ogle had 2 hits.
Rookie Arizona – Theo Alexander and Wascar Teodo, lead Dodgers to championship game against the Giants as the Dodgers beat the Rangers 9-4. Wascar Teodo pitched 4.2 IP in relief and didn't allow much of anything.

Coming up – Arizona Dodgers take on Giants in the finals. Zachary BIrd starts for the Loons, Zach Lee will make his final 2013 start against the Smokies, Victor Araujo toes the rubber for the Raptors, Lindsey Caughel goes for the Quakes and Jonathan Sanchez represents the Isotopes on the mound.
