A disabled list stint for the third baseman seems highly unlikely before Monday's game, with both Alex Guerrero and Carlos Triunfel starting for Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday. In fact, Uribe will be available off the bench for the Dodgers on Monday, perhaps even in the field.
Uribe took batting practice with the team on Monday and was taking ground balls at third base as well.
"At this moment, Juan will be available in different roles tonight," manager Don Mattingly said. "I think Stan's a lot more confident today than he was the other day."
Mattingly said a DL stint is unlikely for Uribe.
"He did a lot today. We'll see if he's sore tomorrow," Mattingly said. "Whatever it is, we don't feel like it's going to be 15 [days]. He is going to be useable, so even if it is off the bench for a couple of days, we can still do things with him."
Justin Turner gets the start at third base on Monday, his third start in four games since Uribe strained his hamstring on Thursday. Turner is 2-for-2 with a double and two walks against Tom Koehler, starting Monday night for Miami.
Both are 1-for-6 against Koehler, though Ethier has a double. Ethier was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a walk on Sunday against San Francisco.
