Dodgers sent cash to complete Correia deal
The trade for starting pitcher Kevin Correia from the Twins was originally stipulated as for a player to be named later for cash. The Dodgers ended up sending cash to Minnesota to complete the deal.

Correia sharp in Dodgers debut
Kevin Correia was great in his Dodgers debut, allowing one run in six innings with five strikeouts, and even got two hits himself. The offense had a pair of three-run rallies to beat the Braves 6-2 in Atlanta.

Baez optioned to make room for Correia
Kevin Correia was activated by the Dodgers on Monday, to start the series opener against the Braves in Atlanta. To make room on the roster, pitcher Pedro Baez was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Dodgers on Sunday made room on the 40-man roster for newly acquired pitcher Kevin Correia by designating Colt Hynes for assignment. Correia is expected to join the Dodgers on Monday in Atlanta, where he might start.
