The Desert Dogs put a beating on Surprise on Thursday, dominating the Saguaros for a 11 - 0 win. Glendale put on a clinic both on the mound and at the plate as their pitching staff allowed just 3 hits in the shutout while the offense pounded out 15 base knocks. Dodger prospect Brian Cavazos-Galvez had the big game at the dish as he went a perfect 5 for 5 with a pair of doubles and a RBI. Nobody else on the club had more than two his, although Yorman Rodriguez (Reds) socked a homer and Micah Johnson (White Sox) had a triple and 3 RBI's. Unfortunately Corey Seager didn't really get in on the fun as he went 0 for 3, although he did walk twice and scored a run.
On the bump starter Stephen McCray (White Sox) allowed 2 hits and 4 walks over 2.2 frames, but he didn't give up a run. After he left the game his bullpen was nearly flawless, including a pair of scoreless innings from a pair of Dodger prospects in their AFL debuts. Pedro Baez threw the 8th and struck out a pair while permitting a hit, then Michael Thomas was flawless in the 9th and also punched out a couple of batters.
