The Desert Dogs lost their first home game of the season on Saturday as they fell to the Saguaros 7 to 0. The Dodgers had a trio of players in the starting lineup as Chris O'Brien was the DH in this game, Brian Cavazos-Galvez was the starting right fielder, and Pratt Maynard was the catcher, however none of them did much at the dish as they combined to go 1 for 8 with a walk. The rest of the staring lineup only had two more singles between them as Glendale was 3-hit in this game.
On the mound starter Trevor May (Twins) took the loss after allowing 3 runs in 2 innings of work, but he didn't have the worst stat line of the game as Dodger reliever Jarret Martin had another rough outing. Martin gave up 3 runs on 2 hits and walked 4 over 1.2 frames, increasing his ERA to 12.46 over 4 outings. The rest of the Glendale relievers permitted just 1 run over the final 5.1 innings, but the offense just couldn't get anything going in this game.
Coming up: There is no game for the Desert Dogs on Sunday, but we'll have our first 2013 minor league off-season league post on Monday morning to capture the action in the other leagues other than the AFL.
