Cabrera told Hairston he was stealing home

+

The San Diego paper reported that prior to the pitch before he stole home, Everth Cabrera told Jerry Hairston Jr. he would do just that. Cabrera quoted Hairston as saying, "Go ahead and try it". If so, I bet Jerry handles it differently the next time a baserunner says this. Of course, it's possible there was confusion getting this story. If that quote actually came from the third-base coach, that wouldn't be interesting at all.
