The Dodgers have reportedly agreed to terms with Spencer Navin, the catcher out of Vanderbilt who was picked in the 11th round. Tommy Birch of the Des Moines Register captured Navin at his Iowa home signing his Dodgers contract.

Navin received a $300,000 bonus per Jim Callis of Baseball America, which means the Dodgers have some maneuvering to do if they want to avoid a loss of a future first-round pick. Any bonus amount over $100,000 after the 10th round gets added to the draft pool, which means $200,000 of Navin's bonus will count against the Dodgers' cap of $5,211,700.
If the Dodgers hit five percent over their bonus pool (or $260,585 over), they will have to forfeit a future first round pick in addition to a 75% tax on the overage amount. If they are over but not at five percent over, they would just have to pay the 75% tax.
With Navin, the Dodgers are at least $423,200 over slot in known deals, and that's without counting whatever overage that fifth-round pick J.D. Underwood signed for.
For the Dodgers to avoid losing a first-round pick, they have to have Brandon Trinkwon, Kyle Farmer and Nick Keener under slot by at least $162,615 plus the Underwood overage.
Here's a look at the Dodgers' draft bonus pool.
