In the first game of the season between the two teams the Dodgers went up early 1-0 in the second inning on a Dee Gordon groundout that drove in A.J. Ellis. The Braves then took a lead 2-1 in the third on a Justin Upton ground out and a Freddie Freeman single. But in the fourth, Los Angeles went up 3-2 thanks to back-to-back singles by Hyun-Jin Ryu and Carl Crawford. LA later extended its lead to 4-2 on a Scott Van Slyke homer. In the bottom of the sixth, Atlanta took a 6-4 lead on a grand slam by Justin Upton. The Braves added two more an inning later to go up 8-4 before Scott Van Slyke ended the scoring for the day with his second homer of the game.
For the second game in a row, Los Angeles took an early 1-0 lead on a fourth inning double by Skip Schumaker. In the bottom of the eighth Evan Gattis gave Atlanta the lead on a two-run homer. One batter later, Andrelton Simmons extended the lead to 3-1 with a homer of his own.
Once again, the Dodgers' took an early 1-0 lead thanks to a first inning single by Adrian Gonzalez to drive in Carl Crawford. LA extended its lead to 2-0 when a sacrifice fly by Gonzalez drove in Crawford. Atlanta finally put a run on the board in the fifth when Jordan Schafer singled in Ramiro Pena. In the bottom of the eighth, the Braves scored four runs on two singles, a sacrifice fly, and a sacrifice bunt.
Los Angeles took a 1-0 lead in the second when Van Slyke scored on a Schumaker ground out. In the bottom of the eighth, Yasiel Puig gave the Dodgers a commanding 5-0 lead when he hit the first grand slam of his career.
The Braves took a 1-0 lead when Dan Uggla singled in Freddie Freeman in the fourth. The Dodgers tied the game when Puig hit a solo homer in the sixth. LA won the game when Schumaker scored on a wild pitch in the tenth inning.
The Dodgers struck first once again when Schumaker singled in Punto in the bottom of the first. But from that point forward, the Braves dominated. Atlanta scored four in the third on a sacrifice fly by Evan Gattis and a three-run homer by Uggla. The Braves extended their lead to 7-1 on a bases clearing double by Freddie Freeman. Atlanta scored its final run of the game in the fifth on Uggla's second homer of the game.
