Celebrate the 1988 Dodgers Championship

Almost every baseball fan has seen the video of an injured Gibby rounding the bases and pumping his fist after hitting a homer to win Game 1 of the 1988 World Series. It was the signature moment in the Dodgers’ improbable run to a championship.

From the Dodgers official press release. Scully will not cut back further on his schedule, meaning he will announce all game in California and Arizona in his 64th season with the Dodgers. But I personally will hold out hope that he will agree to broadcast one other series, the Dodgers visit to Yankee Stadium next year. If the cost is one - heck, all - of the trips to Phoenix, I can certainly live with that.
