With no Dodgers games any time soon, I thought it would be fun if we all would watch a game, as if it’s happening in real time.
This Wednesday night, there will be an open game thread as we watch Game 1 of the 1988 World Series, better known as the Kirk Gibson walk-off home run game. The full game is on Youtube, so you can pull up the game on either your computer, phone or television.
In addition to the game thread, I will also be posting an article the following day, sharing my thoughts as I watch the game for the first time. I was born in 1996, so all I’ve seen from this game is the bottom of the 9th, so I thought this would be a fun article to do, sharing my thoughts from my first experience.
The plan is to begin watching the game at 6 p.m. PT, if that works for everyone. If you’re interested in joining, leave a comment to let me know you’ll be tuning in.
I’ll post the game thread on Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m., that way it will give people enough time to get situated, and make sure they’re able to load up the game.
I plan on doing more of these in the future, so if there are full Dodgers games on Youtube you’d like to watch with fans in the future, comment below and we can set those up!
