Saito Returns

Takashi Saito gets a small raise for the upcoming season, moving from a 500 thousand dollar salary in 2006 to a newly signed one million dollar deal.

Since the Dodgers were one injury away from Brett Tomko being the closer, bringing Saito back into the fold was huge. While I doubt he'll be one of the best relievers in baseball once again, he's still at worst the second best reliever the Dodgers have, and  in a market where it costs 19 million to bring reel in Danys Baez, "steal" doesn't even begin to describe one million for Saito. I realize that Saito could have actually got nothing since he's only a second year player, but I'm still quite happy.
