Let's see if the team can recover after a heartbreaking loss to San Diego. Perhaps worse than the loss was the psychic life-preserver the bullpen offered the Padres. This team was really in a funk, and we gave them hope. Hopefully that won't come back to bite us down the road.
This Dodger team is nothing if not resilient, though, and, once again, they find themselves fighting to get back to .500. With Furcal and Kent underperforming so dramatically, .500 is a pretty good record. Credit Drew, Repko, Penny and Saito, among others, with holding down the fort. If this team can get on an even keel, they can make a run at the division lead.
