Open Thread: Game 47 - vs. Colorado Rockies

The Dodgers go for their second consecutive sweep tonight. They'll need it to stay a half game back of the Arizona Diamondbacks, who defeated Jim Tracy's Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates are now officially the worst team in the NL, with two more losses and one less win than the Marlins. Congratulations, Jim.

Arizona and L.A. are atop the west--could this be a lasting condition? These are the teams that seem to have the most potential help from kids and/or trades coming this year, which would support the notion. However, with the division still packed together (2.5 games from top to bottom), it's anyone's ballgame.

Two days ago we had the battle of the Koreans, tonight the battle of the Aarons. Hopefully Sele continues his solid performances. If he does, though, what happens to Odalis? Will he be willing to stay in limbo indefinitely? He strikes me as the type to get frustrated easily, but I'm not sure. I hope I'm wrong about that. And I hope Little finds him some work at some point so he can prove himself.

Go Blue.
