Open Thread: Game 53 - @ Atlanta Braves

With Jeff Kent apparently still unable to go, Grady Little will be trotting out last night's lineup again. I asked for some hot hitting, and got it from...Andre Ethier. That trade keeps looking better. Ethier has been great, and he has a winning personality to boot. I just wish Steve Lyons would stop referring to his rookie teammates as "the guys you played with in double-A." Steve, Andre was with the Athletics last year. He just met these guys.

The hitting and the winning continue, and I don't think the Brad Penny incident is meaningful, except that they (Penny and Little) have worked out whatever problems that they may have had, which usually results in a stronger bond. Regardless, this team hardly seems like one that would experience a meltdown. The only concern I have is that Penny might actually be playing hurt. Stop that right now Brad Penny! I'm sure Odalis Perez would be more than happy to fill in for you.

A sign of the apocolypse, just in time for the Omen remake: JASON KENDALL HIT A FREAKIN' HOMERUN!!!!!!!!.

Go Blue.
