Open Thread: Game 74 - vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

New, 1 comment

Zach Duke, LHP takes the mound tonight, so Drew gets a rest, as does Furcal. Hopefully there's still something left in the tank from last night's romp. I felt a little bad watching a lefty get shelled on Fernando Valenzuela Bobblehead night. But it was fun. The park had a very festive feel. Thank you to JT and his Pirates for providing a Washington Generals-like foil for the evening.

Sele looks to match Tomko's nice start tonight, and it would definitely be a shot in the arm, especially with Penny up tomorrow. Now if we just had one more really good starter....

Regardless, I expect good things tonight--even with Little Caesar in the leadoff spot (?) and Furcal on the bench. He looked super-slick with the glove last night, patient at the plate, too. I suppose he'll develop power now.

Go Blue.
