Some trade. Ned says more are on the way, and that he'd trade a couple of prospects for a number 1 starter. That's fine, but shouldn't Navarro or Martin have been one of those prospects? Why does it seem like so many GM's act like teenagers with their first paychecks and just buy what's in front of them with no consideration to long-term planning and value? It is quite possible that, behind the scenes, there is plenty of this going on. But it is also possible that baseball teams are no better run than most other organizations.
On to better things, like today's game. It's nice to see Saenz starting at DH against the lefty, which seems like what he was born to do. Derek Lowe is tasked with slowing down the Twins tonight, and I am hopeful.
Go Blue.
