Yesterday's game was not a fun one to watch. Lowe didn't seem to have his head in the game at all. Perez did have a good outing allowing no hits in 1-1/3 innings.
The pitching was bad but it is hard to win when you leave 13 on base. That's 32 left on base in the series.
Nomar now has a 20 game hitting streak.
Since batting seventh in the line up, Furcal is 9 for 19, has scored 3 runs and has 2 rbi and a couple of steals. Hopefully he can keep that up.
Aaron Sele attempts to stop the bleeding today. He has pitched better than expected this year.
With a win the Dodgers go into the all-star break at worst 2 games out of first. San Diego was losing last I heard but it was only the second inning. The wildcard could come from the West this year.
