Last night was just one unpleasant experience after another. Since today is a new day, how can the Dodgers recover and go back to their winning ways?
By starting Marlon Anderson instead of Andre Ethier for the third time in five days?
Brilliant!
Right now, Ethier is a slump, so I wouldn't be opposed to giving him a couple days off, but replacing him with Marlon Anderson isn't the answer. Anderson doesn't hit well enough to be a starting middle infielder on most teams, let alone a corner outfielder.
Things were going so well for Grady up until a week and a half ago, now he's bringing back the classic Jim Tracy bias and inability to manage a bullpen. Maybe we're doing our best to emulate the 2004 Dodgers.
