Using MLBU Contract Info and Baseball Reference" and some of Andrew's stuff I tried to cull together a close approximation of this years salaries and next years salaries. If the player is already under contract I've put the number in the 2008 column. If the player is a 2nd year player like Loney, Kemp, LaRoche, and others I've renewed them at 390,000 which seems to be the historical pattern. For players like Martin, Ethier, Broxton, Billingsley, Proctor, I've left the 2008 salary blank as I expect them to try to buy out some of those players arb years this winter. Headed into 2009 only Penny, Schmidt, Pierre are under contract. After 2009 only Pierre is under contract at a the going rate of 10Mill for a pop gun, OB & Power challenged CF. Seems that headed into 2009, this team would be able to afford huge runs at Vlady, Santana, Peavy, John Lackey, Sabbathia, Sheets, Rocco Baldelli, and Carl Crawford if any of them are still available. Not saying I'd do any of them without looking harder, just saying the Dodgers will be in great financial shape headed into the 2009 season if they want to make a run at the premier FA's of 2009.
Update:Per Eric Stephen I've modified the minimums in 2008, added the 500,00 buyout for Wolf, the 50,000 buyout for Ramon, the 1M buyout for Tomko to the 2008 column. In 2009/2010 Nomar receives 1,250,000 bonues and Furcal receives a 4M bonus in 2009.
