Seemingly Lost In All Of This

Miguel Cabrera is one of the best players in baseball. He's putting up close to a 1.000 OPS in a very pitcher friendly park at age 24. Yes, the Marlins are asking the world of him, but when you have a guy whose comparables include Albert Pujols, Frank Robinson, Jeff Bagwell, Alex Rodriguez, Cal Ripken, and Dick Allen, you can do things like that. Irreplaceable players can not be had for spare parts. If you are going to trade a superstar you have to get back, at the very least, someone with the potential to become one.

That is all.
