A week after taking over the team lead in linear weights, Jeff Kent had the worst week that I can recall in the year plus I've been doing this. Kent went 1 for 20 this week, knocking his OPS down from .898 to .817 and costing the team over a run per game during a five game stretch.
On the flip side of the coin, Luis Gonzalez has been very hot as of late, going nine for 22 this week and boosting his OPS by 40 points. The rest of the team did a miraculous job at being average over the last six games.
