Clayton Kershaw was promoted yesterday to AA according to the Midland Daily News. Four years ago Greg Miller was promoted at the same age but he was moving from A+ to AA not from A to AA. Kershaw was recently voted the best pitching prospect in the Midwest League by Baseball America and hopes to follow the Chad Billingsley path to the major leagues and not the path of Scott Elbert. Dodger fans living in Los Angeles were disappointed to see him promoted straight to AA, as he jumped past the A+ affiliate that plays in the California league and plans to watch him pitch for the Inland Empire 66ers have been put on hold.
