2002 Top Prospects

John Sickels republished his 2002 top prospect list and what a mess. After you get through some of the top tier talent like Peavy, Adrian Gonzalez, Teixeira, Beckett, Mauer, Miguel Cabrera(as a SS),Morneau, Wainwright, and Jose Reyes  you get an ungodly number of dogs in that list including our own Chin-Feng Chen at number 30.

Who do you think will be the top dog on that list at the end of the day? Was there a prospect on that list that you thought was can't miss but he did? I was a big fan of Brandon Philips at the time and he may still end up having quite a career after it looked like he was going to end up a big zero.

Hee Sop Choi was number 17. Wilson Betemit was 4. Neither has gotten a chance to see what they could do over a full season. Choi never will and Betemit probably won't.

John-Ford Griffin was number 49. He is now trying to make our team as a NRI.
