Minor League Update 4/12/2008

Vegas wins 4 - 3 as Nomar does some rehab work. He went hitless but the guy he moved to DH (Tiffee) picked up another hit. Lindsey hit his 1st home run of the season. The hitless  Vegas outfield must be taking their cue from A Jones. I really expected Repko to just tear it up down there to cement his status as a AAAA player, but maybe he's not even that. Justin Orenduff continues to struggle with another yuck performance. Greg Miller gave up a walk, a hit, and had one K in one inning of work.

Suns lose both ends of a doubleheader. They lost the 1st game 8 - 1 and only Cory Wade did anything worth mentioning as he did a decent job in relief. In the 2nd game they made it closer but still lost 6-4 in a seven inning game. DeJesus appears to be the only Sun who can hit at the moment as he picked up hits in both games and has his average sitting at .371. Yhancy pitched another scoreless inning and has yet to be scored on this year.

Inland Empire crushed High Desert 15 - 4 as Carlos Santana hit a grand slam and ended up with 7 rbi's. He was not alone as no less then six other teammates had at least two hits. Josh Bell was on base 5 times with 2 hits and 3 walks. In total they ended up with 16 hits 13 walks. Now that is something to write about.

Great Lakes loses 3 - 2 but Steve Johnson pitched 1 hit ball for 5 innings.
