Minor League Update 4/9/2008

Vegas is down 9 - 4 after 8 innings. Tiffee continues to tear it up with another jack and now has his average at .571. Matt Riley shows that he can still strike out hitters but he also still walks them as walked 4 and struck out 4 in two innings.  Greg Miller was effective for two innings but ran out of gas in his 3rd inning.

Jacksonville Wins 4 - 1 behind James McDonald. He only pitched 4 innings but they were a splendid 4 innings of one hit ball. Ivan DeJesus continues to find the Southern League to his liking as he picked up 3 more hits and is now hitting a robust .381. Lucas May chipped in with his 1st home run of the season. Ghame Over Brazoban has yet to allow a run in 3 games even though he did not get the save in this one.

Inland Empire loses 4 - 2 . Carlos Santana had 3 hits and Koss did some fine middle relief in picking up for Sexton who struggled in the start.

Great Lakes gets creamed 9 - 0 and it was a painful game for me. First Byran Morris got pushed around which was bad enough but then my boy Dutton just got lit up, giving up 4 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks in 1/3 of an inning. As you can tell from the score there were no offensive leaders.
