Twenty One year old center fielder Trayvon Robinson is the highlight player of the day. His wOBA is good for 9th in the offensive California league. Robinson was not rated by True Blue but Scout.Com had him rated as the 45th best prospect in the system.
Isotopes:
Ex Dodger draftee Luke Hochevar shuts down Isotopes 7 - 2. Jason Repko is looking less and less like a 4th outfielder these days. After a hot start he's gone 9/42 in his last ten games and his average is about to sink below .250 in the high octane PCL.
Chattanooga Lookouts:
Lookouts lose 4 - 1 as Felix gets gives up two in the 8th to put the game out of reach for the anemic Lookout offense. Jesus Castillo started and pitched his best game of the year giving up only 6 hits and one run in six innings. Lambo pitched in a double and now has a hit in every game but one so far this year. A few more tidbits. Lambo drew his 1st walk of the year last night while Jamie Hoffman is leading the Southern League in wOBA. (Weighted On Base Average -This represents a player’s offensive value by scaling linear weights in a way that resembles OBP. In general, a major league wOBA around .340 is average and a wOBA of .400 is very good. wOBA is featured prominently in The Book.

Inland Empire 66ers
Another 66er from Venezuela and another fine start. A trio of pitchers led by Kendy Batista shut down Lancaster 3 - 1The offense was triggered by speedster Trayvon Robinson who tripled and homered in the game to raise his ops to 1.037. Not bad for a lead off guy.
