The Dodgers are in danger of being swept for the first time this year with only Chad Billingsley standing between them and the dustpan. Many people have discussed the merits of Chad being an ace. Some people consider an Ace the stopper, the guy who stops a losing streak. The losing streak is only at two games but more important is not being swept by a very average Houston Astro ballclub.
It wont' be easy, Wandy Rodriguez has come a long way in the last two years and has settled in as a respectable number two in the Astro rotation. Wandy will have to fend with a red hot Manny whose offensive herorics have not been able to keep the Dodgers from losing the first two games. His moon shot last night was truly Pujols like. Was it cooler that it missed the Citgo sign and went out of the stadium or if it had hit the sign?
Here is the lineup:
Furcal 6
Hudson 4
Ramirez 7
Ethier 9
Martin 2
Loney 3
Kemp 8
Blake 5
Billingsley 1
Martin has been flipped with Loney since they are facing the left handed Wandy. Kemp still sits in the seven spot. One can only hope that Ohman and Kuo are not left in the bullpen when the need arises tonight.
Don't forget to make your game score guess
Brendan picked up his 2nd win last night by going against the Dodgers. We can't let him win with that attitude. Someone must step up to the plate and give him some competition.
