Resumption of the A.J. Ellis Era Game Chat

New, comments

A.J. Ellis, who was recalled by the Dodgers today to replace the disabled Brad Ausmus, will catch Charlie Haeger tomorrow in the series finale with the Marlins, per Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times.

Andre Ethier, who hasn't played in the last two games, is out of tonight's lineup as well. From 2007 to 2009, the only time Ethier missed three straight games was September 13-15, 2008, when his wife gave birth to their first child.

Garret Anderson takes Ethier's place in right field, and will bat second in the lineup. Anderson has made 56 starts batting second in his career, but only 25 from 2000-2009 (22 in 2008, three last year).

Manny Ramirez will not start tomorrow, the day game after a night game, per Jon Weisman of Dodger Thoughts.

Here are the lineups:

CF Maybin
CF Kemp SS Ramirez
LF Manny 3B Cantu
1B Loney 2B Uggla
3B Blake C Baker
