Game 8 Chat: Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks

Up, up, and away
Up, up, and away

Hong-Chih Kuo will start tomorrow night in San Bernardino for Inland Empire, throwing 20 pitches in a rehabilitation assignment, per Jon Weisman of Dodger Thoughts.

Last season, the Dodgers had eight starts in which a pitcher threw 100 or more pitches in fewer than six innings, and those starters had a 1-1 record in those games (the team went 5-3). Only three teams (Cardinals, Pirates, and Marlins) had fewer starts than did the Dodgers. This season, the Dodgers already have had three such starts, tied with the Phillies for most in baseball, with Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley each winning in their last outing.

Here are the lineups:

Diamondbacks Dodgers
LF Jackson SS Furcal
SS Drew CF Kemp
RF Upton RF Ethier
1B LaRoche LF Manny
3B Reynolds 1B Loney
CF Young 3B Blake
2B Johnson 2B DeWitt
C Snyder C Martin
P Lopez P Billingsley
