Hong-Chih Kuo will start tomorrow night in San Bernardino for Inland Empire, throwing 20 pitches in a rehabilitation assignment, per Jon Weisman of Dodger Thoughts.
Last season, the Dodgers had eight starts in which a pitcher threw 100 or more pitches in fewer than six innings, and those starters had a 1-1 record in those games (the team went 5-3). Only three teams (Cardinals, Pirates, and Marlins) had fewer starts than did the Dodgers. This season, the Dodgers already have had three such starts, tied with the Phillies for most in baseball, with Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley each winning in their last outing.
