Dodgers / Padres Game 2 Chat: Ethier Scratched

Andre Ethier was a late scratch tonight with a jammed right pinky, hurt during batting practice. Garret Anderson will start in right field in his place.

The Padres are 7-1 against left-handed starters this season. The Padres are only hitting .223/.340/.304 against southpaw starters, but have drawn 29 walks in 45 innings. The key to their success has been getting the starter out of there early, as five of the eight lefty starters have lasted just five innings or less.

Clayton Kershaw is tied for third in the major leagues with 27 walks allowed. Hey, 7-2 isn't a bad record.

Here are the lineups:

Dodgers Padres
C Martin CF S.Hairston
CF Kemp 2B Eckstein
LF Manny 1B Gonzalez
1B Loney 3B Headley
RF Anderson C Torrealba
3B Blake
LF Blanks
2B DeWitt RF Salazar
SS Carroll SS J.Hairston
P Kershaw
P Correia
