MiLB Dodger Report 7/15 - Landry Locked In

AAA Ramon Troncoso lost the game in extra innings even though he struck out two of the hitters he faced in the 10th. Bastardo started, and had a nice bounce back game considering how bad he was in his previous start. Bastardo went seven innings, giving up four runs, no walks, and five K's. Josh Lindblom threw one inning of perfect relief with two strikeouts. DeJesus provided most of the offense collecting three hits including his 3rd home run of the year. Russ Mitchell slugged his 13th home run.

AA – The Lookouts were destroyed 15 - 5 as Mario Alvarez took it on the chin giving up eight runs. Former supplemental number one pick Adkins is back in AA and still looking like one of the worse high draft picks since Orendorf. Kyle Russell slugged his 2nd home run, added a double, and did not strike out in four at bats. Trayvon Robinson whacked a monster home run over the CF fence. Sands was 0 - 3 with a walk.

High A –Lose 9 - 3, simply no offense or pitching to note.

A –Magill ran out of gas in the sixth, and his relief added fuel to the fire as the Loons went down 9 - 8. The Loons tried to make a game by scoring five runs in the last two frames but they came up one run sort. Blake Smith had three more singles to lead the offense. Ynoa continued his strong hitting with two more hits. Ynoa is now carrying a 1.182 OPS in his last ten games.

Rookie Ogden –This dude Landry can hit, he's now had FIVE three hit games in his last ten games and a total of 21 hits in those ten games. His TSL on the year is now .403/.429/643. Oh yeah, one of those three hits last night was a home run.

Rookie Arizona Ralston Cash made his debut a successful one by pitching one inning of perfect baseball. Nick Akins and Melvin Ray provided the offense with Akins collecting three hits and Ray collecting four hits. This is Ray's 3rd go round in the rookie league and until yesterday he's been awful so it must have been a good for his spirits to actually hit the ball for the first time in three years.
