The Dodgers had a rough start to their "second half" of the season, getting swept in St. Louis and pushing their regular season futility in that city to 21 losses in their last 25 games. The Dodgers began the week two games out of first place, and ended it five and a half games back, their largest deficit since May 8.
Dodger Batter of the Week: Rafael Furcal wins for the fourth straight week, a beacon of hope in an otherwise putrid offensive output. Blake DeWitt and Andre Ethier weren't completely useless, so they get honorable mention.
Dodger Pitcher of the Week: Hiroki Kuroda is the clear winner, as he allowed just one run in six innings on Saturday, but unfortunately took the loss. Kuroda had one walk and eight strikeouts; the rest of the pitching staff combined for 21 walks and five strikeouts in St. Louis.
Week 15 Record: 0-4

Season Record: 49-43

Save That Game Ball: Jonathan Broxton pitched the final inning on Tuesday in Anaheim, earning the save as the National League won its first All-Star Game in 14 years. Broxton became the third Dodger to get a save in an All-Star Game, joining Jim Brewer (1973) and Don Drysdale (1963).
Run Without a Hit: Hong-Chih Kuo made the National League All-Star team, and made a relief appearance in the fifth inning of the game on Tuesday. Kuo actually allowed the only run scored by the American League, and did so without giving up a hit (his own throwing error helped greatly). Kuo became just the seventh pitcher in All-Star history to give up a run without giving up a hit:
