The Dodgers and White Sox are set to do battle at Camelback Ranch for the third of four times this spring. The Dodgers were the home team in the first two games, with each team winning one game. Chicago is the home team today, and will be again on Wednesday when they battle for the final time in the Cactus League this season.
John Ely gets the start against his former organization. Ely is making his fifth appearance and fourth start so far this spring, and so far has 10 strikeouts and no walks in 10 innings this spring. He will be facing what is essentially the regular lineup for the White Sox, so it will be a good test for him.
There are 10 players from minor league camp suiting up for the Dodgers today, including 2010 draftee Joc Pederson.
Following Ely on the mound for the Dodgers will be Jonathan Broxton, Matt Guerrier, and Mike MacDougal. All three relievers are also scheduled to pitch Monday as well (Broxton and Guerrier in the day game against Oakland; MacDougal in the night game against Arizona), in their first back-to-back action of the spring.
Gavin Floyd starts for the White Sox, and he will be succeeded on the mound by Tony Pena, old friend Will Ohman, and Matt Thornton.
Game Time: 1:05 p.m. PST
