Casey Blake Returns To The Lineup...At First Base

Casey Blake is back in the lineup tonight for the Dodgers, after missing three games with what was called a charley horse in his leg after his game-ending collision with Chase Headley of the Padres in San Diego on Saturday. Blake is playing first base tonight in place of James Loney, with the southpaw Jonathan Sanchez on the hill for the Giants.

This is Blake's third start as a Dodger at first base, with the last coming on August 20, 2008. Blake has also played first base in three other games as a Dodger, but he did not start the game at the position. Here are tonight's lineups:

Dodgers   Giants
SS Carroll
CF Rowand
1B Blake

2B DeRosa
RF Ethier
RF Huff
CF Kemp
C Posey
3B Uribe
SS Tejada
LF Thames

LF Burrell
C Barajas

3B Sandoval
2B Miles

1B Belt
P Lilly

P Sanchez

Blame It On The Alcohol

The Dodgers have reversed their previous stance, announcing that they will no longer offer half-price alcohol during the six weekday day games at Dodger Stadium this season. They will still offer half-price food and drink, as well as a half-price six-game ticket package, however.

At least now if anyone looks at the field and wonders why the Dodgers are wearing powder blue uniforms during those six games, it won't be because their eyes deceived them for getting liquored up at a discount rate.
