The Dodgers welcome the Rockies into town, trying to reminisce on how awesome 2009 was and how long ago it now seems. For the third time since Jorge last pitched, on May 24, the Rockies get to play in a game with a De La Rosa on the mound. Rubby starts for the Dodgers, looking for some run support, and his first win since June 12...against the Rockies.

Rubby to date has pitched 50 2/3 innings in the big leagues, and he has done pretty well. Here's how he stacks up against Chad Billingsley and Clayton Kershaw in their first 50 2/3 innings in the majors:

First 50 2/3 MLB Innings
Pitcher Year Age H R ER HR BB UIBB K ERA ERA+ FIP WHIP BA/OBP/SLG OPS OPS+
Billingsley 2006 21-22 50 26 22 6 38 36 28 3.91 116 5.93 1.737 .269/.398/.409 .807 108
Kershaw 2008 20 54 24 24 4 29 27 41 4.26 98 4.23 1.638 .280/.372/.389 .761 103
