Minor League Player of the Day – Scott Schebler takes home this award not so much for what he did today but for his field of work in July. The 20 year Schebler hit his fifth home run in only 19 games and has an OPS of 1.017 for the season. In July that OPS is 1.194.
AAA – The high powered Isotope offense was shut down 3 - 1. Gordon collected his usual two hits but Sands/Robinson/Mitchell went a combined 0 - 10. Tim Sexton started and went a solid seven innings.
AA – The Lookouts slugged four solo home runs in route to a 6 - 1 victory. Gimenez, Van Slyke, Galvez, and Erickson all went deep to support the pitching of Antonini and De La Rosa. It was the second home run in two days for Gimenez. Van Slyke and Denker both had three hits.
HiA – The Quakes pounded out a 12 - 3 victory behind home runs from Lemmerman(7), and Gallagher(9).
LoA –.Zach Lee didn't complete five innings as he was done in by bad defense. Grider made three errors and now has 19 on the season . Lee only gave one up one earned run but the four walks in 4 2/3 innings are not impressive. No offense to speak of.
Rookie Ogden –.Raptors win 7 - 4 as Scott Schebler hit his fifth home run of the young season.
Rookie Arizona – Arizona Dodgers fell 4 -3 even though Derek Cone pitched a solid six innings, giving up two runs, striking out seven with zero walks. Alex Santana had a tough night going 0 - 5 with four K's.
