Minor League Player of the Day – Noel Cuevas - 2 for 4, 1 3B, 2 RBI's. Sometimes it's tough to pick a player of the day when just two games are played, but Cuevas deserves this award because he was a big part of the Raptors win. Ogden went just 1 for 15 with runners in scoring position on Friday, but Cuevas had the one big hit as his 2-RBI single was the eventual game winning hit.

AA – Chattanooga pitching got knocked around for the second day in a row as the Lookouts lost 10 - 4 to the Smokies (Cubs) and are now one loss away from elimination in their best of 5 playoff series. Starter Chris Withrow was staked to a early 4 - 0 lead, but had a terrible 2nd inning where he allowed 4 hits, 2 walks, and 6 runs. Only two of those runs were earned due to a Corey Smith fielding error, but overall he just didn't have his best stuff. Withrow did contribute at the plate, however, as he actually cranked out a homer after hitting .294 during the regular season. Relievers Will Savage and Scott Rice kept the contest reasonably close through the 6th inning, but Cole St. Clair gave up 2 runs in the 7th to put the game out of reach. At the plate, Withrow wasn't the only one to homer as Griff Erickson also took one deep, while Alfredo Silverio went 2 for 4 with a signature triple. That was it for the extra base hits, although it should be mentioned that Scott Van Slyke did have 2 singles on the night.

Rookie Ogden – The Raptors started their postseason with a 3 - 2 win over the Owlz (Angels) in a game that was nail biter until the final pitch. The last out recorded by Yimi Garcia was caught at the wall and can be seen here. Ogden opened up the scoring in the 3rd inning when Joc Pederson doubled home Scott Wingo, but Orem quickly tied it in the 4th then took a 2 - 1 lead in the 6th. The Raptors reclaimed the lead for good in the 7th, however, when Noel Cuevas singled in a pair. Cuevas had also tripled earlier in the game, while OK Dickson doubled and walked twice. Starter Derek Cone allowed both runs, but overall had a solid game in his 5.1 innings of work. Cone struck out 5 and walked just 1. From there the bullpen went into shutdown mode as 3 relievers combined to give up just 1 hit over the final 3.2 frames. Yimy Rodriguez recorded the win, and the other Yimi (Garcia) got the final 3 outs for the save. EDIT: Also make sure to check out this Fanpost with several videos from the game...thanks to Kenny Shulsen from Larsorda's Lair.
