Here are a shortened version of Dodgers links before Thursday's scheduled doubleheader...
- The Dodgers and Nationals were rained out on Wednesday, but then they weren't, at least for a little while. "The commissioner’s office wanted us to wait—so it was overruled," Nationals manager Davey Johnson told the Associated Press. "I guess they had a little debacle in New York last night, so they wanted to avoid that." Johnson was referring to the Yankees' game in New York against the Orioles on Tuesday night that ended at 2:15 a.m. local time.
- Gene Wang of the Washington Post gives an account of Wednesday's on-again, off-again confusion, from a Nationals' persepctive.
- Dylan Hernandez of the LA Times caught up with new Dodgers catcher Tim Federowicz, who was given Mike Piazza's old uniform number 31.
- Tom Tango, aka Tangotiger, is taking submissions for his 2011 fans scouting report, trying to get a better gauge of defense. Let your voice be heard by scouting the Dodgers here.
